Amy’s Top 10 Picks for Fun for April
Welcome to April- you made it! Time to reacquaint yourself with the outdoors, puddles and grass. Bid farewell to ice, parkas and salt stains…fingers crossed that we will soon turn a corner and Spring is waiting for our tired and winter weary souls.
Some terrific events in the city this month- the Beach Easter Parade is always a favourite with my family! Hope to see you out and about…
P.S. The Garage Sale for Shelter (in benefit of our local Red Door Shelter) is right around the corner…please watch the blog and Face Book for updates.
Neighbourhood Spotlight- The Beach
Located 7km from the core of the city, The Beach is a charming, laid-back neighbourhood with a relaxed small-town vibe.
If ever there were streets made for idly sauntering, they are Kingston Rd & Queen Street East. Reflecting the diversity and easy-going attitudes of the neighbourhood, the bustling thoroughfares are lined with quaint and quirky stores, and a cool collection of bars and restaurants.
Tales From A Working Mother Of 4 In The City
The Rest Button
Anyone with children (two legged or 4 legged) knows that there are hills and valleys…time to coast and relax and time to push through and motor along…sometimes we enjoy everyday…and other times we just survive the day. For the self employed the struggle to keep your balance seems somewhat amplified. The hills seem like mountains and the valleys…well, they seem like the Grand Canyon!
Amy’s Top 10 Picks for Fun for March

Oh March Break- how I love thee…work is busy, 4 kids at home…my absolute favourite combination! Thank goodness for all of these events around the City this month- I know that they will keep this Mother’s sanity in tact and provide much needed relief from daily routines.
Hope to see you out and about!
Welcome to the Blog!
I love Toronto. My husband and I are raising 4 kids in this amazing city. We love our life here, and enjoy the many neighbourhoods and their personalities. Our favourite way to stay connected to these pockets is to enjoy the many festivals, concerts, events and experiences across the city on our own or with our kids. This blog is a place where I am going to be sharing some of what I discover is happening in our great city. Sometimes it will be about what I am specifically doing – as long as I think that might seem interesting to you. I promise no posts of me sitting on the couch watching TV. Ha! As though I ever have time to sit on the couch and watch TV!!
