What a way to spend a Sunday night- surrounded by supportive folks, great food and wine…a pretty awesome combination. While I have MANY special past and present clients in my life, there was group of people who were responsible for sending new business my way over the past year. Is there a better way to thank these people for their kindness then with a group cooking (and eating) class? I think not!
Let me start off by saying that cooking in front of people for me would be tantamount to public speaking for others. I am the queen of preparation and clean up. You need cheese grated or meat marinated, you call me. You need your kitchen cleaned up afterwards…I am your lady. But, public cooking (potential judgement) did have me a tad concerned. How thrilled was I to find out that I could drown myself in cheese, wine & olives, take photos, enjoy the company of my guests and remain OUT of the kitchen all together- perfect! From the Heirloom tomato salad with Bocconcini cheese & the Corn Chowder to the Stuffed Chicken Breast and flourless chocolate cake…not to mention the wine paired with each course…it was truly a feast.
Gratitude is my word for the week. Why you may ask? Well, I work in a highly competitive industry…there are more than 39,000 Realtors registered with the Toronto Real Estate Board. Quick math…with approximately 80,000 sales in 2014…that means that on “average” 2 transactions per Realtor- uh oh. Major uh oh. So, a BIG thank you to all those who attended (and those who were absent too- you were missed!) what you are telling people about your real estate experience resonates with them. I value and appreciate every time you pass along my name…every single time…so, please…never stop. Would love to make this event double the size in 2016 🙂
Special shout out the Chef Upstairs who made this event low key, fun and very tasty!
